About etek

We were born from a question
with no satisfactory answer.

Why is online collaborative learning still so hard to prove to leadership? There's no shortage of tools. There is a lack of evidence. etek was created to close this gap.

More than a software company.

etek exists at the intersection between scientific research and the real need of organizations betting on collaborative learning.

Purpose

Make collaborative learning visible, measurable and sustainable in organizations.

Mission

Integrate technology derived from science with specialized consulting so organizations can prove the ROI of collaborative learning.

Vision

Be the reference in collaborative learning analytics in Latin America — the choice for those who want to measure what really matters in L&D.

From an academic research to
a real market problem.

etek was born from the frustration of researchers who, while studying technology-mediated collaborative learning, realized that organizations had the same problem academia documented — but no suitable tool to solve it.

CSCL research showed how to measure collaboration quality. The market had no product. etek was created to close this gap — with scientific rigor and a focus on the real user: the L&D manager who needs data, not theory.

2021

Academic research in CSCL

Identification of technological gaps documented in the literature. The lack of collaborative analytics tools is highlighted.

2022

First prototypes via DSR

Application of Design Science Research methodology to create the first artifacts. Validation with corporate education and L&D specialists.

2023

etek Analytics MVP (P08)

First product deployed in a real environment. Collaboration data visible for the first time for L&D leadership in business language.

2024

Ecosystem of 15 modules

Portfolio expansion to cover the five critical dimensions of collaboration. Launch of tiers 1, 2 and 3 of the etek ecosystem.

2025

Consulting integrated into the product

Formalization of the two consulting tracks (pedagogical and technical) as a structural part of the offer — not as an optional service.

Educators who understand technology.
Technologists who understand learning.

etek was founded by the rare combination of deep pedagogical expertise and technical product capability — without compromising either.

The principles guiding every decision.

01

Evidence before opinion

No product enters the ecosystem without a gap documented in literature. No consulting starts without diagnosis. Data-driven decisions — including ours.

02

Technology that sustains itself

Tool without adoption solves nothing. That's why consulting is a structural part of what we deliver — not an upsell. Customer success is our only KPI that matters.

03

Privacy is not compliance

LGPD/GDPR by design means the architecture was projected from the start with privacy. We don't add compliance at the end — it's at the core of each product.

04

Inclusion is not optional

WCAG 2.2, inclusive design for low connectivity and cognitive accessibility are product requirements — not optional features. Collaboration for everyone, literally.

05

Communicable science

Academic research that doesn't reach the L&D manager doesn't change reality. etek translates decades of literature in CSCL into software and consulting usable in the daily life of organizations.

06

Partnership, not sale

Our process starts with diagnosis, not a commercial proposal. We understand the problem before proposing a solution. If our product is not the best fit for the context, we will say so.

Three reinforcing pillars.

etek is not just software. It is the combination of technology derived from science with consulting that guarantees adoption — and the data that proves the result.

Pillar 1 · Technology

15 modules. 3 tiers.

From collaborative activity design to strategic analytics for the C-level. All integrate with the existing LMS via LTI 1.3 — without replacing what already works.

Pillar 2 · Science

CSCL, CoI and CE.

Each product was derived from gaps identified in the CSCL literature. Metrics come from validated frameworks — Community of Inquiry, Collaboration Engineering, DSR.

Pillar 3 · Consulting

Pedagogical + technical.

From collaborative maturity diagnosis to LMS deployment, mediator training and systems integration. Without support, technology is not sustained.
